Alabama Millennial Study Results to Be Revealed at AL.com YP Summit

Alabama’s first millennials study is currently underway with an expected 2,000 participants being polled through a survey conducted by Alabama Media Group. The survey and its results are aimed at helping Alabama businesses better understand the millennial workforce. Results will be revealed at the AL.com Alabama Young Professionals Summit July 15 in Birmingham. For more information about the Summit agenda, go to alabamaypsummit.com. Take the survey here.

“We’re extremely excited about the responses we’ve already seen with the ‘Millennials of Alabama’ survey. There’s so much information (and misinformation) out there about millennials and what their desires are, but the results of this survey will allow us to statistically show businesses what’s important to Alabama millennials specifically,” said Ed Fields, Director of Events and Community Engagement at Alabama Media Group.

The 5 minute survey encompasses questions such as, “What benefits are most important to you when searching for a job?” For this question in particular, Alabama millennials have so far responded that competitive pay is the most important (at 83.7 percent). Flexible work hours is currently the second most important (at 66.2 percent).

Participants who complete the survey and enter their name, email address and phone number can be entered to win prizes including a $250.00 gift card or free hotel and registration packages for the statewide Alabama YP Summit on July 14-15 in Birmingham. All respondents will also receive a discount code for 25 percent off the Alabama YP Summit. The survey will close March 31.
